Dona Belle Beach was born to Albert and Senthia Bell (Reed) Carlton in Jackson County, Ala. on Aug. 28, 1921, and was received into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ in Mangum on Dec. 10, 2012.

Dona Belle moved with her family at a young age to Kiowa County and married Auldin Beach on Nov. 18, 1939 in Lone Wol. He passed away on June 25, 1998. They were together for 58 years. They enjoyed their life together while also enduring many trials strengthened by their faith in God and their love for each other. Having not been able to have their own children they opened their hearts and doors to family and friends, being favorites of many nieces and nephews. Later they would welcome into their life a little girl who they adopted as their own. Susie became the apple of their eye.

Auldin and Dona Belle worked their farm, and at one time a beef stand in Granite. Dona worked in several nursing homes caring for the elderly with dignity and respect, often cooking their favorite food. As Auldin became more disabled she went to work at CR in Hobart where she worked until she retired. After Auldin passed away she moved from Hobart to Granite. Dona was a long standing member of Grace Baptist Church in Granite where she was a blessing and an inspiration to many. She loved and enjoyed children. She enjoyed visiting and playing chicken foot dominos with family and friends. She was a very giving, loving and loyal to her family and church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Auldin; daughter, Susie; and son-in-law Dave Ketchersid.

She is survived by a sister, Louise Cruse of Barstow, Calif.; many nieces and nephews and her church family.
