Aside from the shooting on Sunday evening, Altus Police are also investigating two separate drive by shootings that happened in Altus over the weekend. No injuries were reported in either incident.
The first drive by was reported early Sunday morning at approximately 4:08 a.m. in the 900 block of N. Benson. The second was reported Sunday evening at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 900 block of N. York. In both cases the residences were hit by gunfire.
It is unknown at this time if either of these shootings are related, or are related to the drive by shooting that occured on Jan. 23 on Martin Luther King where a nearby church was hit by stray bullets.
Police continue their investigation into these drive by shootings. Anyone with information are asked to call crime stoppers at 482-tips (482-8477). Your information could lead to a reward.
