Riding a strong performance from Justin Jackson, the Houston HCYA Warriors defeated Lawton Eisenhower 65-55 Saturday to win the 41st annual Clester Harrington Shortgrass Invitational Basketball Tournament.

Jackson, a 6-8, junior is considered one of the top Division I prospects in the country and he showed why in the finals. Jackson poured in 33 points, which included several slam dunks and he showed his shooting range by making a three-pointer.

For the tournament Jackson scored 95 points in the three games and was named the MVP.

Eisenhower, who defeated Houston in last year’s tournament final got a 14 point performance from Jamey Woods, 12 points from Keyshawn Perkins and 11 points from Dominique Pierre.

In the third place game Terry Davis hit a follow shot with 25 seconds left to give the Oklahoma City Centennial Bison a 56-55 lead. That lead held up for the Bison.

Davis scored 17 points to lead Centennial.

Dallas HSAA defeated Chickasha 63-53 for the consolation championship. Nathan Williams scored 14 point to led the Blue Angels. Joey Sylvester and E.J. Golightly each had 22 points for the Chicks.

Altus defeated Duncan 64-58 in the seventh place game.

It was a closely contested game. Malik Knight made a pair of free throws with 37 second left to give Altus a 62-56 lead. That was too much for the Demons to overcome.

Knight led Altus with 20 points. Jack Braught paced Duncan with 18 points.
