Graveside services will be held at the Blair Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Clarence Ray Marble, 76, of Lexington. Lindell Werner will be officiating under the direction of Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf. Clarence Ray Marble was born to William Martin Pat and Ada Belle (Davis) Marble in Warren on May 13, 1936, and departed this life in Lexington on Feb. 3, 2013.

Clarence grew up in Warren and graduated from Blair High School in 1954. Clarence married Glenda Waller on Oct. 3, 1960 in Mangum. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, at the OSU experiment farm south of Altus, then he served in the US Army and spent two years in Germany. He later worked for Pioneer Natural Gas in Amarillo, Texas, and Plainview, Texas. They later moved back to Oklahoma and he was a bus driver for Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech in Shawnee, and later General Motors in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Lexington. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family, camping, traveling and playing in the dirt with tractors.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Audrey, Ernest and Donald Marble; and a sister, Ima Coffey.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Paul Marble of Tecumseh, and Patrick Marble and wife Stacy of Chandler; two daughters, Kristie and husband Clay Johnson of Lexington, and Paula and husband Todd Peterson of Nocona, Texas; a sister, Evelyn and husband James Moore of Big Spring, Texas; five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Zane Marble, Matthew and Ashley Peterson and Stephanie and husband Adam Jessup; and many other relatives and friends.
