Thomas Wayne Daugherty, 70, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 in Bethany. Services have been scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with the Rev. Justin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Thomas was born Oct. 30, 1942 in Lawton to Tom Jefferson and M.M. (Johnson) Daugherty. He married Patrisha Hasting on Nov. 9, 1985 in Altus where they made their home for many years. Thomas was a great cook and worked in several restaurants including Furr’s and Western Sizzlin. After serving his customers such wonderful meals for over 20 years, he retired.

He was a devoted member of the First Assembly of God Church where he was very active.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pat Daugherty in 2004; and a cousin, Jackie C. Hubbard.

He is lovingly survived by two daughters, Sheila Ann Culbertson of Windsor, Mo., and Tiara Taylor of Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Jeff Culbertson and Taylor Scott Culbertson; his girlfriend, Peggy Lofgren; a very special friend, Dana Pride; as well as many other relatives and friends.
