Michael Jason Von Wert, 32, of Altus, passed away at Jackson County Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 11, 2013. Memorial services are scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday at the Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Cremation services were entrusted to Kincannon Funeral Home.

Michael Jason Von Wert was born Aug. 11, 1980 to Michael Dean and Sabrina Carol (Allen) Von Wert in Altus. Michael grew up in Altus and currently worked as a floral delivery person for the Blossom Shop. Michael was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus. He loved to play video games and read books.

Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Helen Allen; paternal grandfather, Del Von Wert; and uncle Grady Allen.

He is survived by two daughters, Hailey and Jolee; three sons, Jason, Joey and Titus; his father; Michael Dean Von Wert and wife Tammi of Lucedale, Miss.; mother, Sabrina Carol Von Wert of Altus; paternal grandmother, Joyce Von Wert of Jacksonville, N.C.; one sister, Tara Gumas and husband James of Altus; brother, Donnie Von Wert of Lucedale, Miss.; aunts and uncles, Regina Ross and husband Warren of Altus, Floyd Allen and wife Brenda of Altus, Daniel Von Wert and wife Cassie of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Melody Paul and husband Kenny of Midway Park, N.C.; as well as a host of other family and friends.
