An Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Unit agent arrested an Altus man Tuesday for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Sherman Mullis, II shared files containing images of child pornography to an undercover OSBI agent. OSBI ICAC agents and an investigator with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, with the assistance of the Altus Police Department, served a search warrant on Sherman’s Appliances, 201 S. Hudson, Altus. An on-scene preview of the suspect’s computer revealed numerous, illegal photographs.

Mullis was booked into the Jackson County jail on one count of Distribution of Child Pornography, one count of Possession of Child Pornography, and one count of Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The OSBI Computer Crimes Unit will soon perform a full forensic examination on the computer.
