Three arrested in Saturday residential burglary

Altus Police responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Debbie Street on Saturday afternoon at Officers arrived at approximately 4:50 p.m. The call resulted in the arrests of two Altus women and an Altus man on burglary charges.

Witnesses told police that a black extended cab pickup, parked in the driveway of the victims residence. All of the occupants then entered the house. The vehicle left and was spotted near the intersection of Bradford and Blain by officers responding to the scene.

Arrested on complaints of 2nd degree burglary were 31 year old Mandy Smith, 43 year old Cheri Shelton, and 28 year old Erik Jorgenson. A watch that was taken from the victim’s residence was recovered from inside the suspect vehicle.

Along with the burglary charges, Shelton was also arrested on two Jackson County warrants. Jorgenson was also arrested on charges of No Drivers License, No Insurance and Expired Tags.
