Rain suspends Bulldogs’ game with Eisenhower

LAWTON – Things were going very well for the Altus High School Bulldogs in their baseball game with Lawton Eisenhower on Thursday. The Bulldogs were leading 8-3 in the fourth inning, but with lightning and heavy rains on the way, the game was suspended.

The Bulldogs scored once in the first inning when Jackson Long doubled and came home on a Kevin Hamm single.

AHS broke the game open in the second inning with five runs. Long drove in two runs with a double. Brandon Ybarra had a RBI double and Hamm picked up his second RBI of the game

An error and a wild pitch gave the Bulldogs two more runs in the fourth.

Cale Hand was on the mound for Altus and he yield just one hit in the first three innings.

The game will be resumed on April 30 when the Eagles are sceduled to come to Kiwanis Park.
