Municipal Court Judge Ken Darby will administer the Oath of Office for City Council newcomers Tuesday evening in Council Chambers.

Rick Henry of Ward I; Scott Simco of Ward II; Perry Shelton of Ward III and Jack Smiley of Ward IV are all scheduled to take their seats at the Council table, immediately following the swear-In process.

A regular meeting of the Municipal Trust Authority and the City Council will convene after the special meeting.

Items on the MTA agenda include a presentation of the financial report from Finance Director, Joe Don Dunham and approval of several bids for various city improvement projects.

A presentation by the Mayor for Employee of the Quarter and an update from Mike Turner, president of Main Street Altus on the upcoming Rock-n-Rumble Car Cruise in May top the City Council agenda.

The board will also vote to approve the Altus Firefighter Combat Challenge Team to compete in 2009, as well as a few appeals from the Dilapidated Building Commission.
