The Jackson County Sheriff's office has been assisting the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation on a homicide that was reported earlier this week.

According to Sheriff Roger Levick, a call came into their office Monday night of an unattended death. A deputy was sent to Dub's Bar, located 7 miles south of Eldorado.

According to Levick, the death was thought to be suspicious in nature. After arriving at the bar, it was called in from the scene that the man that ran the bar, and lived in it, had been killed by a single gunshot wound to the head.

The victim has been identified as Andrew Russell White, 50.

OSBI was immediately called in to investigate the homicide, and possible witness interviews were still being conducted Thursday afternoon, but by Thursday evening, an arrest had been made.

Joshua Dylan Lusk, 24, was taken into custody, and formal charges are pending.

"I anticipate that he will be charged with 1st degree murder," said Levick. Robbery was the apparent motive.

Lusk is an active duty soldier from Fort Sill in Lawton, and had been working as a reserve police officer in Olustee, but had left that position a few weeks ago.

"I'm very pleased with the way this investigation went," said Levick.
