According to court documents, Bernie Joe Haumesser Jr., of Altus and Hollis, was charged with first degree rape and lewd molestation in the third judicial district court in Jackson County this past week.

He was arrested on a warrant stemming from incidents reported in October 2008 involving his 12- and 15-year-old stepdaughters.

The warrant sites hundreds of incidents in which Haumesser was said to have come in contact with the girls in various sexual ways over a long period of time.

One of the girls said Haumesser had done, “everything you could think of” to her.

Court documents said that Haumesser used force and violence by means of threats of great bodily harm against the girls.

If convicted of the felony rape charge, Haumesser faces 5 years to life in prison. On the lewd molestation felony charge, he faces 3 to 20 years in prison.

Haumesser’s bond was set for $75,000.
