Altus Public Library’s Katy Sheppard and Donna Smith look over the display for this summer’s ‘Be Creative’ reading program. The program got under way this week, and will continue tomorrow with a visit from the Zoomobile. The Oklahoma Zoomobile’s program is called “Creative Creations” and will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday. This program is geared for elementary age children.Teens will also have an opportunity to participate in the summer program with specials such as a three-evening workshop “Cartoon Drawing for Teens.” And for the adults, Gabriel Farago of country music fame will conduct a seminar on the secrets to success in country music on July 17. For more information about these and other programs and activities at the library this summer, call 477-2890 or stop by the library’s front desk and pick up schedules of all the activities.
