ALTUS — Suspect Dominique Lindsey, 22, is under arrest for conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery; and warrants have been issued by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for two others in connection with a homicide that happened early Sunday morning for Michelle Calvert, 34, and Sedrick Sanders, 31. Calvert and Sanders are also being charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery, as well as first degree murder in the death of victim Hai Phan.
At this point, both Sanders and Calvert’s location are unknown to investigators, and evidence suggests that other subjects were involved in this murder. This evidence is based upon both physical evidence and eyewitness testimony.
According to reports, on Sunday, May 31, at 2:14 a.m., officers of the Altus Police Department responded to the area of 1209 Springfield on a shots fired call. An Altus Police Officer happened to be a few blocks away when the call came out, and observed a vehicle leaving the area. This officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 300 block of S. Carver. Upon making contact, the officer found a passenger in the vehicle, Phan, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back and multiple stab wounds. Phan died at the scene from the injuries. Two other occupants were located in the vehicle with Phan. They were questioned over the incident and later released.

A reward of $1,000 is available for new information that would lead to the location/arrest of Sanders or Calvert and, for information that could lead to the arrest of anyone else involved in this crime. This reward could be doubled if the person is willing to testify.
