Michelle, L. Calvert, 34, and Patrick D. Robinson, 27, have both been arrested for homicide - murder in the first degree, conspiracy, and robbery, in connection with Sunday’s murder of Hai Phan of Altus.

Suspect Dominique Lindsey, 22, was the first to be arrested in the crime and was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery. Warrants were then issued by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office for Calvert, and Sedrick Sanders, 31, who remains at large.

Calvert and Sanders are also being charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery, as well as first degree murder in the death of the victim.

Evidence and eyewitness testimony indicate that there still may be others involved in the crime.

According to reports, on Sunday, May 31, at 2:14 a.m., officers of the Altus Police Department responded to the area of 1209 Springfield on a shots fired call. An Altus Police Officer happened to be a few blocks away when the call came out, and observed a vehicle leaving the area. This officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 300 block of S. Carver. Upon making contact, the officer found a passenger in the vehicle, Phan, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back and multiple stab wounds. Phan died at the scene from the injuries. Two other occupants were located in the vehicle with Phan. They were questioned over the incident and later released.

Calvert and Robinson were set to make their initial court appearances today.

Anyone with any information pertaining to this crime is urged to contact the Altus/Jackson County Crime Stoppers at 482-TIPS, or the Altus Police Department at 482-4121. A reward of $1,000 is available for new information that would lead to the location/arrest of Sanders and, for information that could lead to the arrest of anyone else involved in this crime. This reward could be doubled if the person is willing to testify.
