ALTUS — According to Capt. Michael Turner of the Altus Police Department, one of the two suspects still wanted in the recent murder of an Altus man is now in custody.

Turner said that Marquiss Dorsey was arrested in Oklahoma City and is in custody and being brought back to Altus for questioning.

Already in custody in connection to the crime are Michelle, L. Calvert, 34, and Patrick D. Robinson, 27. They have both been charged with homicide - murder in the first degree, conspiracy, and robbery, in connection with the murder of Hai Phan of Altus.

Dominique Lindsey, 22, was also arrested in connection to the crime and was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, and robbery.

Sedrick Sanders, 31, remains at large on a warrant in connection to the crime. Witness claim that Sanders is the one who actually pulled the trigger during the crime.

According to an affidavit filed in the District Court of Jackson County, Phan, Han Dang and Dung Phan had all been to local nightclub Scooters where they met Lindsey and Calvert. During interviews, the men said that while there the girls were approached by Lindsey’s cousin, Sanders. The men had left Scooters, but later agreed to go to a party with the girls after talking to Calvert on the phone. When the men returned to Scooters, Calvert got into the driver’s seat of the men’s car and drove them to the Ridgecrest Apartments where they parked in front of one of the apartments. Several black males came out of the breezeway of one of the apartments and approached the car. Two of the men went to the passenger’s side and and pulled Hai Phan out of the car and began to assault him. At that point, Calvert and Lindsey got out of the car and fled on foot. One of the men got into the seat left by Hai Phan and began assaulting Dang over the seat. Victim Dang said that he saw at least two attackers with guns. He then saw the man assaulting Hai Phan shot him and he heard the gunshot. Dang said that man that shot Hai Phan then reached in and took the wallets from their pockets and then all three fled on foot. Dang also said that the man they met at Scooters was the same man that shot Phan. Dung Phan said that he also witnessed Sanders shoot Hai Phan.

Captain Michael Turner of the Altus Police Department said money was taken, but the amount is unknown.

He also added that Phan was also stabbed during the incident, but he died from the gunshot wound, not the stabbing.

Anyone with any information pertaining to this crime are urged to contact the Altus/Jackson County Crime Stoppers at 482-TIPS, or the Altus Police Department at 482-4121.  A reward of $1000.00 is available for new information that would lead to the location/arrest of Sanders and for information that could lead to the arrest of anyone else involved in this crime.  This reward could be doubled if the person is willing to testify.
