The FBI, Oklahoma City Police Department, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs and the District 3 Task Force coordinated efforts in the Southern Insanity investigation into drug trafficking and money laundering activities of the South Side Locos gang in 2008. District 3 Task Force Field Supervisor Bob Carder, Task Force Agent Chris Counts and former Task Force Agent and now Greer County Sheriff Devin Huckabay aided this investigation by doing surveillance on defendant Adrian Borrego that led to evidence crucial to the investigation. These District 3 Task Force agents also assisted in surveillance of undercover buys and assisted in the arrest of Adrian Borrego on federal charges, conducted a search of his home and also assisted in interviewing other individuals related to the case. The overall investigation utilized federal wiretaps, undercover drug buys, and other investigative techniques to successfully prosecute 30 federal defendants and 22 state defendants. The United States Attorneys Office continues to work closely with the District 3 Task Force and commends them for their efforts in working collaboratively with federal and state law enforcement agencies. District Attorney John Wampler, left, is shown with those recognized earlier this week: Bob Carter, Director Field Task Force; Chris Counts, agent with the Task Force, Greer County Sheriff and former Task Force agent Devin Huckabay; and US Attorney, Western District of Oklahoma, John Richter.
