Altus man air evaced after accident

Eric Ceniceros, 19, of Altus, was transported by Air Evac to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City Saturday after a one-vehicle accident Saturday.

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Ceniceros was driving a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado pickup about 5 miles west of Olustee on State Highway 6 Saturday around 6 p.m. when the accident occurred.

OHP reports that Ceniceros was east bound when he ran off the right side of the roadway, impacting a culvert.

The vehicle rolled 1 1/4 times coming to rest on its side.

OHP listed the cause the accident as inattentive driving. Seatbelts were equipped and in use.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Scotty Beamon of the Jackson County detachment of Troop M, and was assisted by Trooper Josh Tinsley, Trooper Steve Pothorst, Lt. Tom Pogue, the Olustee Fire Department, Altus Fire Department, and the Jackson County EMS.
