Robert “Bob” Thompson, 61, of Altus, passed away, Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at Plantation Village Nursing Home in Altus. Services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home.

Robert Allen Thompson was born Oct. 25, 1947, to Paul W. and Lou Ella (Davis) Thompson in Oklahoma City. He attended the Capitol Hill School in Oklahoma City, graduating in 1966. He worked as building maintenance for an insurance company. He loved cars, racing, drag racing, muscle cars and collected “Hot Rod” magazines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Betty Ann Davis.

He is survived by one brother, Paul W. Thompson Jr. of Altus; three nieces, Debra Ann of Austin, Texas, Tammy Sue of Conroe, Texas, and Denise Elizabeth of Conroe; two nephews, Gary Wayne Thompson of Conroe, and Barry Davis of Lake Dallas, Texas.
