The Southwest Oklahoma Republican Women will meet at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Farm Bureau of Altus, 1001 E. Tamarack.

The speaker for this meeting will be Sen. Randy Brogdon, candidate for Governor 2010.

Since being elected State Senator in 2002, Randy Brogdon has championed legislation such as "The Taxpayer Bill of Rights" (TABOR) and SB 1 "The Taxpayer Transparency Act." In addition, he was successful in leading the charge to opt out of the federal "REAL ID ACT" of 2005.

Sen. Brogdon has been married to his high school sweetheart Donna for 37 years. They have two grown sons, Chris and Bryan and a daughter-n-law Jessica. He is active in his church at Woodlake Assembly of God, where he has taught a young adult Sunday School Class, and has served on the church board.

Brogdon has been a successful business owner for over 30 years in the Air Conditioning industry. He was born in Ardmore and raised in Tulsa. He and his wife, Donna, currently reside in Owasso.

A meal will be served at $5 per person.
