Teresa Fowler, 52, of Hollis, passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Hollis with Pastor Jim Westmoreland and Jeff Dill officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Stewart Funeral Service in Hollis. Interment will be at the Independence Cemetery in Harmon County.

Teresa was born Dec. 22, 1956, to Gerald and Patricia (Cooley) Sherrill in Wellington, Texas. She graduated from Hollis High School in 1975. Teresa married Alger Fowler on June 28, 1975, in Vinson. She worked for the Hollis Elementary School as a Library Assistant for 29 years. She had lived her entire life in Harmon County. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 34 years, Alger Fowler of Hollis; one son, Shane Fowler and his wife Annie of Altus; one daughter, Tara Rollins and her husband Jason of Hollis; her father, Gerald Sherrill of Vinson; one sister, Beverly Crisp and her husband Kenneth of Burns Flat; one brother, Gerald Sherrill Jr. and his wife Linda of Duke; three sisters-in-law, Peggy Hopper of Gravett, Ark., Jackie Jarrell and her husband Art of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Zelda Lanford and her husband Lane of Sequin, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Carl Fowler of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Larry Fowler and his wife Judy of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Dylan, Madison and Kaden Rollins, Zaria and Zhane Fowler of Altus.

Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Sherrill in 2008; her brother, Randy Sherrill in 2008; her mother-in-law, Addie Mae Fowler in 1990; and her father-in-law, Jack Fowler in 1986.
