An alert driver helped snag two Jackson County men on drug charges on Dec. 30. The driver reported being threatened by a man with a gun just east of Altus, on Highway 62.

From the vehicle description, troopers located and searched Christopher B. Tuttle's vehicle and found the gun he'd been waving around. They also found almost a pound of marijuana and some brass knuckles. After interviewing Tuttle, drug agents visited Timothy G. Gasper in his motel room and found more marijuana ready to sell in baggies, a drug scale and drug paraphernalia.

Gasper, 23, was charged with distributing a controlled dangerous substance. Tuttle, 19, was arrested for using a firearm while committing a felony, pointing any deadly weapon with malice or intent to injure, distributing a controlled dangerous substance, possessing drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license. Both are being held in the Jackson County Jail.
