A father and son have been arrested for running a meth lab north of Granite.

According to reports, Douglas Cook, 50, and son Denver Cook, 35, each face felony charges of manufacturing a controlled dangerous substance and conspiracy to deliver or manufacture a controlled dangerous substance.

Drug agents in Elk City notified the Kiowa County Sheriff's department and the District III Drug Task Force in Altus of the possible meth lab this past weekend. A search warrant was issued and authorities found the remnants of a drug lab, as well as numerous precursors for manufacturing methamphetamines at the home.

Both father and son appeared in Kiowa County District Court Monday and remained in jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
