Teen artist Teddie Gwinn has a selection of her paintings on exhibit at the Altus Public Library until the end of January. Her work is available for viewing during regular library hours.Teddie, 18, is a senior at Altus High School and her plans include attending Western Oklahoma State College and then transferring to Southwest Oklahoma State University where she will pursue a degree that will allow her to become an art professor. The art Teddie has chosen to display at the library is just a small sample of her body of work. Teddie prefers to use acrylics as her medium. She said her choice of subject matter is wide. One day she may want to paint flowers and the next day it could be something scary. The work Teddie chose to display is a testament to how varied her vision is. Teddie indicated she is attached to her paintings and when asked if someone were to offer to buy one of them would she be willing to sell it she stated, “depends on which painting.” For more information on the exhibit, or if you are an aspiring artist who would like the opportunity to exhibit your work call the library at 477-2890.
