Applicants for the US Citizenship must take naturalization test. A free Naturalization Process Course is available through the Great Plains Literacy Council. The course will include eight classes on how adults can prepare for each part of the test.

GPLC volunteer tutor Steve Francis will teach the classes in the Literacy Classroom at the Altus Public Library, 421 N. Hudson. The classes will be held on Tuesday evenings, beginning Feb. 2 and concluding on March 30. The class each Tuesday will begin at 5 pm and last for one hour.

To enroll in the classes, the legal resident must be able to read, write, and speak English with confidence. The classes will be limited to the first five people to call 580-477-2890 or visit the Altus Public Library, 421 N. Hudson, to register for the course.

If an adult needs help with English, free weekly tutoring is available through the Great Plains Literacy Council.
