Passenger dies in accident after driver distracted, leaves road and crashes

A fatality accident happened at around noon Wednesday west of Gould when Bobby Chase Frank, 20, of Altus, was driving west on US Hwy 62.

According to reports, Frank was distracted by his infant son in the back seat, and turned around to check on him. When he did this, he ran off the right side of the road impacting a bridge abutment.

Although Frank and his 5-month-old son were uninjured. Passenger Erica Wise, 20, of Altus, was transported by Harmon County EMS to Jackson County Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Wise was not wearing a seat belt.
