A community meeting has been called by Mayor Gramling and the City Council to receive information from the community regarding the new Senior Citizens Center. This meeting will be held Tuesday, Mar. 2, at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers.

For the Altus Municipal Authority (AMA) meeting held directly following the community meeting, at 6:30 p.m, an Emergency Ordinance item has been added to the agenda. This concerns "imposing a $3 per month trash and garbage fee to recover expenses incurred during the ice storm at the end of January 2010."

At the regular City Council meeting, which will be held following the AMA meeting, 2 items have been added to the agenda. One of them concerns giving permission "to temporarily store flammable liquids (propane) in a 500 gal. tank by Oklahoma Roofing for approximately two (2) months, weather permitting, inside the fenced area at the construction site of the new City Hall Complex, 501 South Main."

The other item is the duplicate city council version of the Emergency Ordinance of the $3.00 a month "Storm Recovery Fee to the existing garbage and trash fees and declaring it an emergency, to be effective March 2, 2010."
