He served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later continued his military service with the National Guard until 1977. He was a man of many trades, including farming, Greer County law enforcement, and B&A Manager at Quality Pets.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He and his humor will be greatly missed.
Cliffton was preceded in death by his parents and numerous family members.
Cliffton is survived by his wife of 36 years, Katherine; daughters, Cynthia Young and husband John, Cheryl Ashcraft and husband Lee; son, Danny Terry and wife Winnie; step-daughter, Kathleen Dalme and husband Les; step-sons, Bill Folsom and wife Michelle, Leslie Bell and Steffanie McDade; brothers, Paul Terry and wife Donna, Donnie Terry and wife Rhonda, Joe Terry and wife Barbara; sister, Neta Terry, Glenda Autry and Dewanna Pitts; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, March 11 at 1 p.m., at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes 4000 SW 119 St. in Oklahoma City with a reception to follow.
