Jackson County Memorial Hospital welcomes Nicholas G. Viyuoh, M.D. (pronounced VEE-oh) to the medical practice of Women’s Health Associates 101 South Park Lane in Altus. He joins Dr. Pamela Hyde and Dr. Julia Rivera. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Viyuoh completed the Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama in 1994. He followed medical school with an Internal Medicine internship and an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1999 to 2003 where he was a staff OB/GYN physician at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and Medical Director at Shaw Air Force Base at Sumter, South Carolina.

Following his military service, he was on staff at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi and was most recently the Chief of OB/GYN at Lock Haven Hospital in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, where he has been in practice since 2007.

“As an OB/GYN physician, I am steadfast in proven healthcare for women. My practice involves pregnancies, including high-risk, and gynecological procedures,” states Viyuoh.

He received several awards in medical school and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal in 2002. Dr. Viyuoh is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
