Artists brave cold, windy conditions to participate in chalk art contest

Despite cold and windy conditions, sidewalk chalk artists were out in full force Saturday for Main Street Altus’ annual “Walkin on Chalk” event. There were categories for all age groups. Jayla Bain, a 5th grade art student at right, was among those lining the sidewalks of downtown Altus Saturday for the contest.
