The annual appreciation luncheon was held Tuesday for everyone who contributes to Armed Services YMCA outreach with Altus Airmen. The event provides an opportunity for financial supporters of the ASYMCA to meet with the AAFB families who enjoy the programs and the military volunteers who assist with the many ASYMCA activities and programs. This year it will be held at WOSC in partnership with the Altus Rotary Club. Altus Air Force Base’s Command Chief MSG Eric Molloy was the keynote speaker. The Altus Armed Services YMCA offers programs, classes and support specifically tailored to the financial constraints experienced by the junior ranking airmen. For those with families, and those who are single, they provide information about Altus and the surrounding area, the Air Force, and the Family Support Center at Altus AFB, plus offer opportunities for people to network and establish friendships.
