The Jackson County Commissioners meeting was held Tuesday, June 1, with Commissioner Dale Dunn subbing for Anthony Fixico. The Week of June 14-18 will be "Paint the Town Purple Week," in association with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The commissioners approved hanging the banner for this relay on the SE corner of the courthouse grounds from June 7 - 18.

The minutes of the May 28 meeting were approved. There were blanket purchase orders to approve from both the Districts (for roads) and the commissioners. Two reports were submitted for approval: the Bogus Check Division and the County Clerk's Office.

During the officers' reports, County Assessor Gerald Sherrill Jr. said that more people have been out to see the front of the courthouse where the fascia was damaged in the ice storm. Dunn said they should receive more information on the matter soon.

Supplemental appropriations were approved for the month of May. Also approved was Resolution 2010-32, establishing the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma Self-Insurance Fund (Workers Compensation Program).

Sherrill recommended that a contract between the Office of the Assessor and the Visual Lease Services, Inc. DBA okassessor.com be approved. It was approved by Commissioners Cary Carrell and Dunn.

County Clerk, Christy Hair had a contract on the agenda between her office and Kellpro, Inc. They took no action on this item yet.
