The Altus Fire Department is sending Team Dr. Pepper to the first Regional Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge they've attended this year. Members are shown here practicing for the event. Altus members are: Jimmy Rogers, team captain, Michael Grayson, Jake Babcock, Blake Hasty and Ralph Walker. This will be Hasty's first Combat Challenge. This competition is being held at the Greenville Sports Park in Greenville, Texas. The challenge will bring teams from all over the U.S. and Canada. Altus Fire Department has only 33 men, but they compete against departments with up to 3,500 members. The events begin today at 6:30 p.m and continue Saturday, June 26. Team Dr. Pepper is sponsored by James and Carla Thompson. The Thompsons have been the Altus Fire Department's team corporate sponsor since 1999.
