Jeff Brown is a Foundation scholarship recipient. When asked how the scholarship helped him while attending SWTC Brown said, “Being awarded the SWTC Foundation Scholarship not only paid for the airframe licensing process, but it also helped with the other necessities while I attended the center.” As a graduate of the Aviation and Aerospace Technology course, having completed the General, Airframe, and Powerplant portions of the program, Brown is now employed with the A-Team on Altus AFB and just received his A&P License.
Although participation in the golf tournament is very important to raising proceeds for scholarships, sponsorships are vital to the success of the tournament. The levels of sponsorships vary and all levels are important in their own right.
The Gold sponsorship of $500 consists of your company/name recognized on a large sign in the meeting area of the golf tournament as a top sponsor.
The Silver sponsorship of $250 consists of your company/name recognized on a separate large sign in the meeting area of the golf tournament as a top sponsor.
The Hole sponsorship of $100 where your company/name will be recognized on one of the signs throughout the 18 holes of the golf course stating “This hole is sponsored by……”
The Cart Sponsorship of $50 where your company/name will be recognized on one of the carts driven by golf tournament participants stating “This cart is sponsored by ……”
Bill Weldon, SWTC superintendent, pictured above with Bill Wilson, gold sponsor with JCMH, said, “I have personally witnessed how these scholarships help these adults, whom are more often than not, struggling financially. These scholarships relieve some of the financial burden to allow the adult student to complete their respective program and eventually enter the workforce.”
