He was born Jan. 24, 1944, in Wichita, Kan., to Ernestine (Bruce) Clark and William B. Clark. Frank had lived in the Altus community for the past two years moving here from Albuquerque, N.M.
Frank began his military career with the U.S. Army in 1961 where he served four years. In 1965 he enlisted with the U.S. Air Force, serving until he retired in 1986 as Master Sergeant. While serving in the military Frank received numerous commendation medals, including the Air Force Commendation Medal one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Stars, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon with four Oak Leaf Clusters, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon one Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Frank loved motorcycles and socializing with his biker buddies. He also enjoyed spending time with his active duty military friends and retirees and anybody who enjoyed life.
He is survived by two sons, David Green and wife Barb of Albuquerque, and Chris Clark and wife Kari of Tulsa; one brother, Billy Clark and wife Norma of Duke; one sister, Karen Chisholm and husband Bob of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Mathew Green, Joshua McGee, Michael Green, Ashley Green, Case Harding, Kolby Clark and Carter Harding; one great-grandson, Aiden Joseph Green; one granddaughter-in-law, Stephany Green; two nephews and four nieces and a host of many, many friends; and a very special friend, Brenda Beauchamp of Altus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Carolyn Clark.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
