Burial will follow services at the Headrick Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Meriot, Texas, to Sam and Velma (Swanson) Shelton. She graduated from Headrick High School. She married Olan D. Hals on July 3, 1954, at the First Baptist Church in Headrick. The Hals moved to Fort Bragg, Calif., and later moved to Montana where they lived most of their lives. Glenna and Olan retired to Headrick and lived there until Olan died in April 2007. Glenna moved to Montana and lived out her remaining days with her son Gordon Hals.
Glenna was a hard worker and had a garden most years. She was always canning, baking or watching other peoples' kids along with her own. She loved to read, and would whenever she had a spare moment, which wasn't very often. She loved to spend time with her kids and to travel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Floyd Wisherd; her husband, Olan; and grandson, Shawn Alan Thorstad.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Thorstad and husband Jerry of Stevensville, Mont.; four sons, Joseph Barry Hals of Illinois, Alan Ray Hals and wife Cindy of Glenwood, Iowa, Ernest Hals and wife Tonya of Seeley Lake, Mont., and Gordon Hals of Frenchtown, Mont.; sister, Brenda Kay Siebert and brother Wayne Shelton, both of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
