Things didn't start out well for the Altus High Lady Bulldogs in their game Tuesday night with Lawton MacArthur.

MacArthur jumped on top 10-2 and it looked like Altus might be in for a long night. But the Lady Bulldogs quickly rallied and earned a 60-53 victory over the Lady Highlanders.

After falling behind, Altus went on a 17-4 run to take a 19-14 lead. They trailed only one time after that.

The Lady Bulldogs took the lead for good when Kiondra Harris made a pair of free throws to make it 27-25 early in the third quarter.

Altus led by as many as ten points in the fourth quarter and they saw that lead dwindle to two.

MacArthur was fouling the Lady Bulldogs down the stretch, which made for a long fourth quarter.

The Lady Bulldogs hit 16 of 31 free throws in the fourth period alone.

Kiondra Harris and Dashaniece Harris each had 15 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Meagan Steen and Janelle Durrough finished with 10 points.

The 60 points was the highest offensive production of the Lady Bulldogs this year.

Altus is now 6-11 on the season. They will travel to Riverside on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. game.
