For the second game in a row, the Altus High Lady Bulldogs did the things you are supposed to do to win a game.

The result is a two game winning streak.

On Tuesday the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Riverside and walked away with a 44-34 victory over the Lady Braves.

It was close for a good portion of the game, but Altus put it away late in the fourth quarter.

Altus led by five points late in the game when Janelle Durrough was fouled on a made shot. Her free throw was off the mark, but Malorie Vaughan rebounded and hit the follow shot. That made it 39-30 with 2:30 left in the game and that was too much for the Lady Braves to overcome.

Kiondra Harris scored 12 points to lead Altus. Durrough had 10 points.

The Lady Bulldogs played without head coach David Prickett who missed the game because of illness. Assistant coach James Legrand was in charge of the team on Thursday night. Altus is now 6-11 on the season. They will travel to Woodward for a 5 p.m. meeting with the Lady Boomers on Saturday.
