The training will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days. The first day of the training will consist of the history of the program with certification completed on the second day. Interested parties are welcome to attend the training without commitment.
Over half of the residents in long-term care facilities receive no visitors. Ombudsman volunteers visit residents a minimum of two hours weekly and are required to attend one monthly meeting to meet the State continuing education requirement.
