Free severe weather safety and storm spotting seminar to be held in Altus Feb. 23

Super Saturday is coming to Altus, according to Altus Emergency Management officials.
Members of the media, Red Cross, National Weather Service, the Altus Skywarn Association, and Emergency Management will host a severe weather safety and storm spotting seminar at Western Oklahoma State College in Altus. The free event will rbe held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature life-saving information on tornadoes and severe thunderstorms, as well as training for storm spotters.

"This is timely and important training for area residents," said Lloyd Colston, Altus Emergency Management Director. "Knowing how to be safe, what to report and to whom can result in many lives being saved."
