Zoning changes among City Council agenda items

The regular meeting of the Altus City Council will be held tomorrow in council chambers beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the Municipal Trust Authority discussing and possibly approving the purchase of a bucket and a line truck for the Electric Department, the awarding of a bid for a 55' hydraulic articulating over center aerial device for the Electric Department and a bid for a derrick/digger line truck for the Electric Department.

Bids may also be awarded for electrical transformers and the purchase of a drive gear, bearing, and pinion for clarifier at the southeast Wastewater Plant.

Agenda items on the regular meeting of the City Council to follow the Municipal Trust Authority include a installing a concrete walk around Imagination Station to be paid for the Sandy Nichols Memorial Fund, declaring a 1995 Ford handicap accessible bus surplus, and awarding a bid for the demolition and removal of 29 residential structures for Project #3 of a community development block group grant.

Changing the zoning classification from Auto-Urban to Suburban Commercial for property including 1044 E. Walnut and 1048 E. Liveoak are on the agenda.

The final plat of the Laurel Homes Addition review and consideration for approval is on the agenda, as is the waiving of the building permit fee for WOSC's SF Cooperative Education and Training Center construction. Waiving of the construction costs for Habitat for Humanity's new dwelling on Cherry Street is also on the agenda.

In executive session, the annual evaluations of the Human Resource Director and Finance Director will be discussed.
