Annual Winter Agriculture Conference set

According to Gary Strickland, OSU Extension Educator, Southwest Technology Center and the Jackson County OSU Extension Office will offer its annual Winter Agriculture Conference on Feb. 29,.

This year’s topics include several items of interest for this production year. They inlcude: Wheat Crop Outlook 2008 and Late Wheat Management Decisions, Mid-Season Wheat Fertilization Utilizing the N-Sensor Unit, Commodity Markets (both Grains and Livestock), The New Immigration Law, and an update on the New Pending Farm Bill

The conference will start at 9:30 a.m. with registration and conclude by 2 p.m. at the SWTC Seminar Room. A sponsored lunch will be served.

This should be an informative and timely conference. Pre-registration is requested by Thursday, noon, Feb. 28, at either the Jackson County Extension Office, 482-0823 or SWTC, 477-2250, ask for either Roger Kerr or Dianna Thompson.
