The MacDowell Club of Allied Arts will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, at the home of Catherine Coke with Janice Pellam and Jan Johnson serving as co-hostesses. The program is entitled "Saint Patrick's Parade of Music."
The Altus Ballroom Dancers continue to meet from 7 to 9 p.m. each Monday in the basement Blue Room of the Municipal Auditorium. Couples of all ages are invited to come and learn new dance steps during the first hour and practice dancing the second hour. “Money Smarts” will be held on Friday, March 7, at the Altus Public Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. as a free financial program for Hispanics to learn about computers and money. Story time for children and refreshments will also be available.

The Altus Kiwanis Club would like to announce their First Annual Sandy Nichols Memorial Golf Tournament. It will be held on the Windy Trails Golf Course at Altus Air Force Base beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9. All proceeds will go into a Maintenance Fund for the Imagination Station playground that former Kiwanian Sandy Nichols was instrumental in building for the children of Altus. Altus businesses are encouraged to help defray tournament expenses by becoming a sponsor.
