Preparations being made for AAFB Air Show, Open House

Altus Air Force Base will host the 2008 Altus Air Show and Open House, May 3, presenting more than a dozen aerial performances. An estimated 10,000 to 15,000 spectators are expected to attend this year's celebration. Admission is free and there are children’s activites and flying events scheduled throughout the day.

Performances will include Altus AFB C-17 and KC-135R aerial demonstrations, B-1B flyby, ACC single ship demo and heritage flight, 101st Airborne Parachute Team, Mig 17F flight demo, C-47 from the Commemorative Air Force, B-25 Pacific Prowler, T-28 demo team, Pitts Biplane, F-4U Corsair, T-33, and A-1 Skyraider.
