Driver hits pole in early morning accident

The driver of this van left the roadway on North Park Lane next to the Altus Reservoir at 2 a.m. today, hitting a pole. According to witnesses, the pole was cracked and there was damage to the power line. Reports on the accident were not complete at presstime, so the name of the driver was not available, but he was reported to be injured and was taken to Jackson County Memorial Hospital by Jackson County EMS.
