Well-known Altus civic leader and multitalented artist Eddie D. Wilcoxen is author of numerous books of poetry, including the acclaimed "Oklahoma Proud, A Centennial Book of Poems".

Most recently he was invited to share excerpts from his books with the students in the Ninneka Schools near Chickasha. Spending an entire day with the students, he spoke to all the elementary school classes, sharing his joy of reading and poetry, and enjoyed the forum it presented to reinforce the value of literacy and poetry as an entertaining art form.

Wilcoxen is host of the morning show on KWHW 1450AM Radio where he includes poetry segments early in the day. KWHW now added his show to their website streaming live on the internet at KWHW.com from 5 to 10 am daily. He also appears on KQ106 Radio in a featured segment, "Eddie's Stuff" with their morning show host R.C. Babione. His works in progress include his web site, www.Eddiestuff.com which features written poetry, poetry readings, and photos of gardens he designed. He hasperformed for students in schools throughout Oklahoma and Texas for over

twenty-five years. His published works include, "Oklahoma Proud, A Centennial Book

of Poems"; "Reflections of a Wandering Mind"; "More Reflections"; and "Songbook in

My Head."
