Time to make a splash at the Altus City Pool

Summer swim classes for the City of Altus Recreation Department will be available for all ages this summer.

Enrollment will be held at the Altus City Pool on May 27 and 28 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be two morning sessions from June 2-12 and June 16-26 for children. Infants and adults are in the evenings on Monday and Wednesday for one month June 2-26.

Classes are available for all ages. The cost of the classes is $40 per person.

The City of Altus Pool will open May 24 for the summer season. Hours of operation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. for open swim seven days a week.

Cost changes in effect will be $3 per person if over 48 inches tall. This includes usage of the slides. For anyone below 48 inches the cost is $2 per child per session, but an adult must be in the water at all times with the child.

Anyone under 48 inches is not permitted to use the slides.

Senior citizen hour will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Swim suits are required for anyone swimming.

Summer Pride for the Altus High School swim team will be from 8 to 10 a.m., June 2-25, Mondays through Thursdays. Cost is $45. Please call 48l-2137 for more information.
