Southwest Oklahoma Community Action RSVP Program has scheduled their annual Clown School for through June 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in The Towers meetinig room, 101 E. Commerce. The school is for kids in the 3rd grade and up who have never attended a clown school before.

Jackson County Memorial Hospital HomeCare and Hospice and Home Health Products are hosting an open house and ribbon cutting Friday, June 13 at 1 and 1:30 p.m. respectively. Family and Friends of Mark Trusty will be hosting a barbecue/flea market fundraiser at the Altus Community Center East from 10 a.m. until on Saturday, June 14. All money raised will go to medical, housing and travel expenses.

The 1st annual Quartz Mountain Diamondback 100 (DBK100) will be held July 19 in Altus. Bring the family and enjoy the beautiful Quartz Mountain area for the day or the weekend. The ride will start and finish at the Altus City Reservoir. There will be a 100 mile, 62 mile and 40 mile ride. There will also be a 10 mile family ride around the Altus Reservoir. The ride will start at 8 A.M. and transit the communities of Altus, Martha, Mangum, Granite, Lake Altus, Blair and Friendship.

Red River Toastmasters will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at Club Altus, located on the Altus Air Force Base; and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, in the Francis Herron Seminar Center, at the Southwest Technology Center.
