Funeral service for James Max Kirkpatrick, age 76, will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at the Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Horton, pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating.

Mr. Kirkpatrick passed away Monday, June 16, 2008, in Frederick, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home.

James Max was born October 26, 1931, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Keith and Burna (Roten) Kirkpatrick. He attended school in Frederick, where he was raised by Ward and Fannie Fryer. He graduated from Frederick High School in 1949. He married his high school sweetheart Lee Ann Gower on July 29, 1950, in Frederick. He was a farmer and rancher, and they owned and operated Fryer Mobil Station for over 41years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Keith and Burna Kirkpatrick and Ward and Fannie Fryer; a brother: T.L. “Bud” Kirkpatrick and a brother in law: Bob Gower.

He is survived by his wife Lee Ann, of the home; two children: Kim Kirkpatrick and Kyle Kirkpatrick, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister: Marcy Andrews, of Scottsdale, Arizona; two sisters in law: Ann Gower, of Vernon, Texas and Yedell Abbot, of Wichita Falls, Texas; three nephews and four nieces.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Bridge to Tomorrow Fund, 201 E. Grand, Frederick, Ok. 73542, in loving memory of Max Kirkpatrick.
