Ruth Stern, 70, of Altus, was pulling into a parking space at United Supermarket on E. Broadway Saturday afternoon when her foot slipped off the brake and onto the excellerator causing her to jump the curb and hit a pole supporting an awning. Although there were extensive damages to Stern’s 2003 Lincoln AVI, there were no physical injuries reported to the driver.
